Technique:
I paint on raw canvas using free, large strokes. I let it all drip and play around and then add more pigment, working intuitively. I print into this (background) using small linoleum blocks. Imagination takes over, and images appear.

Artist statement:
I try to paint the inner and outer dimension. To paint what lies beneath. It is my hope to explore, in a lively and creative way, the journey we all take in life and to touch, in some way, the spiritual.

Biography:
I live in Malibu with my husband, three dogs and forty birds. Our house and life style is rustic. We love the closeness of the ocean and the beauty of the country surrounding us. My husband is an actor. My life love was theatre and I met may husband while working in a play. The theatre work is closely connected to the work I do now. When I paint or do woodcuts, I hope to reach out to people and express feelings and emotions. I hope to trigger the imagination: I'm back to woodcuts again.
